Famous Attractions You Will See From the Boat

Dolphin sighting in Goa.

Dolphins are one of the most playful and intelligent animals on earth, and they’re also a symbol of friendship and harmony. So we’re pretty sure that when we spot one swimming along the beach in Goa, it’s sending us a message.

This is why we love them so much!

Fort Aguada jail

Fort Aguada jail, formerly Goa’s biggest prison, is located beneath the fort. Inmates were transferred to a new jail in Colvale after it closed in 2015, and there are currently plans to convert the historic structures into a museum and heritage centre. The cells are located on the spot where Fort Aguada’s hilltop castle, which was formerly square in design, once stood.

Millionaires Palace owned by Jimmy Gazdar

This is Jimmy Gazdar’s mansion, a Parsi businessman, and it was created by Goan architect Gerard de Cunha. The mansion is located on Aguada Headland, next to Aguada Central Jail.
In his luxurious mansion, which exhibits a fusion of several architectural styles, the reclusive tycoon lives alone. However, as evidenced by the beautiful entryway and three dance floors, the estate is built to entertain guests. When Gazdar hosts his yearly private parties, he makes use of these facilities.

Governors Palace

The Honourable Governor of Goa’s official house is Raj Bhavan, a residential palace in Dona Paula, Goa. The expansive 88-acre estate, known as “Palacio do Cabo,” is situated on a cape in Panjim, the capital of Goa. Along with famous sites like “Our Lady of the Cape Church,” “Grotto,” “The Estate,” “The Estate Beach,” and “The Jetty,” it also has a number of residential apartments. The Hon. Governor has chosen to make Raj Bhavan’s doors open to the public starting on January 5, 2019, despite the fact that these sites have not previously been accessible to the general public.

Mormugao Port Trust

The Goa, India, town of Mormugao is home to Mormugao Port. Its natural harbour, which is open and protected, is located on the southern end of the river Zuari’s mouth. A breakwater and a mole that was constructed from the breakwater’s outer end and runs parallel to the wharf are also used to safeguard this harbour.
